The ground rules

HK Study Pilot is provided by HK Study Hub for its students. By signing in, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English. If you're under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.

Your account

HK Study Hub creates every account. There is no public sign-up.
Your account is for you only. Don't share your login or let anyone else use it, and don't use anyone else's.
Keep your password private. If you think someone else knows it, change it on your Account page and tell your tutor.
We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, and accounts are closed when a student leaves HK Study Hub.

Using the service fairly

Please don't:

try to get into parts of the app, or other people's data, that aren't meant for you;
try to break, overload, scrape or copy the app or its question bank;
try to trick Compass AI into ignoring its rules, or use it for things unrelated to studying;
post or send anything unkind, harmful or inappropriate.

Compass AI has a daily message limit so that everyone gets a fair share.

Academic integrity

HK Study Pilot is for learning and revision. Compass AI will explain ideas, give hints and comment on short pieces of your own work, but it won't write coursework for you. That includes internal assessments (IAs), extended essays, TOK essays, lab reports and portfolios.

Work you hand in at school must be your own and must follow your school's and exam board's rules, including any rules about using AI.

Compass AI can make mistakes

Compass AI is an AI. It is usually helpful, but it can sometimes be wrong or sound more confident than it should. If an answer doesn't look right, or it really matters, check it with your HK Study Hub tutor or the worked solution.

Your messages to Compass AI are sent to an outside AI provider, so please don't share personal information in chats. Read more in our privacy notice.

Our content

The practice questions, worked solutions and study guides in HK Study Pilot are written by HK Study Hub (sometimes with the help of AI, and then reviewed by our team). They are original and are not copies of real exam papers. Please use them for your own study and don't copy or share them outside the app.

Changes and availability

We're always improving HK Study Pilot, so features, questions and limits may change. We try to keep the app running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may update these terms; when we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
